As I documented all the digital devices I used over the past 24 hours, I learned that I heavily rely on technology in my daily life. One of the first things I do when I wake up is hit snooze on my alarm clock, which is on my phone. Then, when I wake up, I scroll through my phone. I look at my phone every morning. Then I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth with my electric toothbrush. Within the first hour, I wake up, I already use multiple technological items. When I get home from class, I often drive somewhere to have dinner. My car is equipped with a screen that connects to my phone. I use my phone for music and navigation when driving.
Keeping a 24-hour journal really opened my eyes to how much I rely on the internet and technology in my day-to-day routine.
